Hey y’all!

I’m sitting here on the Red Remu sofas, listening to some Chiddy Bang (ah<3) and decided to blog. First of all, last weekend I went upstate to Ithaca to see some friends and escape to nature. It was seriously the best thing I could have done. I was so inspired, and the 4.5 hour bus ride provided a LOT of time to write these inspirations down… it was also just a great trip with friends, which is always the best.

so i know i say this quite a bit. but i literally wrote 4 songs yesterday, and this is a daily occurrence now. i’m not sure what happened, but in the last few weeks especially, i’ve been on a rampage. in high school, whenever i would do my physics, i would ALWAYS wind up writing a song. it was always a joke for my close friends because they considered me to be, welllll…not exactly a math + science person. But now, this has kindof translated into engineering. i LOVE my engineering class, and the homework is actually fun for me. and guess what I was doing yesterday that prompted this songwriting? ENGINEERING. reading about microphone placements and polar patterns. weird right? EMBRACE.

after this wonderful experience which lasted a few hours, i went over to my friend Douglas Schadts ( http://music.manandghost.com/) place and we jammed for a bit. i’m really stoked about sharing this new stuff with y’all. it’s going to be a fantastic summer and spring, in general, but specifically speaking about music. i went into the studio last night doing some assisting, and i’ll be back tonight. basically, i’m just stoked up on life right now. also, i’ll be back in alabama in less than 2 weeks, which will be another relaxing getaway….
